Inter still have no intention of selling Romelu Lukaku this summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.
Lukaku is reportedly attracting interest from his former club Chelsea, who want a reunion with the Belgian as they seek reinforcements in attack.
Sky Sport Italia’s Fabrizio Romano has confirmed reports in today’s papers that Simone Inzaghi called Lukaku recently to reassure him about the club’s plans.
Inter confirmed to Lukaku that they intend to keep him because he remains a ‘key player’, despite interest from the Premier League.
Elsewhere, Inter are still negotiating with Paris Saint-Germain for a deal to sell Achraf Hakimi, but there is no sign of a discount for the Ligue 1 runners-up.
The Nerazzurri will not accept less than €80 million for the Moroccan international, who scored seven goals and provided 10 assists in his debut Serie A campaign.
Antonio Conte may have left Inter but there is no sign of the Serie A champions dismantling their squad or selling stars on the cheap.
