Inter Defender Andrea Ranocchia Receives Offer From Espanyol, Italian Media Report

Andrea Ranocchia has the chance to move to La Liga, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition said the Inter defender had interest from Espanyol, who secured their return to Spain’s top flight last month.

Ranocchia’s agent Tulio Tinti was in the Iberian peninsula recently to explore the possibility of a move, with Espanyol eager to sign both him and former Inter striker Federico Bonazzoli.

The 33-year-old could remain at Inter as back up to Stefan de Vrij, or he could leave on a free transfer when his contract expires next month.

Inter are due to announce Simone Inzaghi as their new head coach this week and Inzaghi will have the final say on the centre-back’s future with the club.

Ranocchia was a bit-part player under Antonio Conte in the 2020-21 season but he has always been appreciated for his presence in the Inter dressing room.
