Danish Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen has spoken about his feelings towards his fitness in relation to the upcoming Euros.

During a press conference, the 29-year-old midfielder stressed that he is ready to play a lot of football during the Euros, and feels that he would benefit from a good amount of game time in preparatory friendlies for the tournament against Germany and Bosnia-Hergovina with Denmark.

“You’ll have to ask coach Kasper Hjulmand how much I should be used, as it’s been a long time since I’ve played 90 minutes in a match,” the Danish midfielder stated, continuing that “my body is fine and I don’t feel in danger of running out of energy.”

Eriksen stressed that while he has not had a vacation for two years, he has not played all available minutes for Inter and that he “still had a lot of energy on the training ground.”

The Danish star also expressed that he hopes that his and his teammates success at club level over the past season inspires them to have a successful summer tournament.
