Inter have identified three potential replacements for Achraf Hakimi, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said Barcelona full-back Emerson Royal was top of the Nerazzurri’s wish list if Hakimi departs in the summer.

Inter are also keeping tabs on two players who impressed in Serie A during the most recent season though, namely Davide Zappacosta and Nahitan Nandez.

Neither player is considered a priority, the Rome-based paper explained, but Zappacosta and Nandez are both on the list nonetheless.

Nandez could be involved in Inter’s talks with Cagliari for Radja Nainggolan, the report added, after Inter denied Nainggolan the chance to get a payoff for terminating his contract.

Nainggolan is due to earn €3.6 million after tax next season, plus €500,000 in image rights, and will be worth €18 million on the Nerazzurri’s balance sheet for the 2021-22 campaign.

Inter cannot afford those numbers and so they are reportedly prepared to make a loss on Nainggolan, so long as they can offload him to Cagliari.
