Inter are very close to finally selling Joao Mario, according to a report in the Italian media today.

FcInterNews.it said the midfielder could complete his permanent return to Sporting CP before the end of this week, after informally agreeing a four-year deal (although it could be a three-year deal with an option for a fourth).

Inter’s directors will soon meet with Federico Pastorello, who is helping with negotiations, to sort out the remaining details after they already held talks last week.

The parties are confident a deal will be completed before too long, so Sporting CP will get their wish of making Joao Mario’s loan move permanent.

Inter have not announced Simone Inzaghi as their new head coach yet, but the Nerazzurri’s directors are hard at work already to deliver him a competitive squad for next season.

In order to achieve this, Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio must offload as many squad and fringe players as possible before June 30 so they can avoid selling members of the starting XI.
