Inter could have a great chance to sign Alessandro Florenzi this summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said Roma were almost certain to sell the full-back after he returned from a season-long loan at Paris Saint-Germain.

The Giallorossi were convinced PSG would make Florenzi’s loan move permanent, but they have no intention of keeping him in Jose Mourinho’s squad now the Italian has returned.

Florenzi is ‘an unmissable opportunity’ for Roma to boost their finances with a healthy capital gain, the report explained, and Inter are being repeatedly linked with the 30-year-old.

Roma need a lot of money from sales to balance their books and that means Florenzi’s annual salary, worth almost €4 million, is not sustainable for them.

Florenzi made 36 appearances while on loan for PSG last season, scoring twice and providing one assist in all competitions under Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino.
