Romelu Lukaku wants to stay at Inter, a report in the Italian media confirmed today.

Corriere della Sera’s print edition said the striker had no intention of leaving the Nerazzurri, despite interest from his former club Chelsea after they won the UEFA Champions League.

Lukaku’s entourage are not quite committing to staying at Inter yet, because they want to study how things evolve during the transfer window and understand Steven Zhang’s plans for Inter.

Inter’s directors have made it clear that, given the current financial crisis because of COVID-19, they would need to consider an offer worth €120 million if it arrived.

Chelsea want Lukaku back to help them launch a Premier League title challenge next season, with Erling Haaland also a target alongside Lukaku.

Inter do not want to sell Lukaku though and instead they have decided to balance their books by selling Achraf Hakimi, who is wanted by Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG have offered €60 million but Inter want €80 million, and after a deal is completed they would chase Barcelona’s Emerson Royal as a replacement.
