Valentino Lazaro is returning to Inter with the intention of staying there, according to his agent.

Inter sent Lazaro on a season-long loan to Borussia Monchengladbach last summer, but the Bundesliga outfit have opted not to use their option to sign him permanently.

The 25-year-old will take part in pre-season training with the Nerazzurri next month, and it seems he has every intent on earning a second chance in Milan.

“Tino has three more years on his contract with Inter and he wants to respect them,” Lazaro’s agent Max Hagmayr told FcInterNews.it today.

“His choice is to stay in Milan and not to go out on loan for another season.

“He wants to show off his ability to the new coach Simone Inzaghi, he wants Inzaghi to see him train and evaluate him.

“Valentino and Romelu Lukaku trained with each other recently, they spoke about the future and they’re dreaming of winning with the Inter shirt next season.”

Lazaro’s future seems to be uncertain at the moment and Hagmayr confirmed this, saying: “No, I’ll have to meet with Inter and discuss the situation.”

Inter are likely to sell Achraf Hakimi in the summer, with PSG showing a strong interest in the Moroccan international at the moment.

Asked if Hakimi’s future would have a direct impact on Lazaro’s chances of playing for Inter, Hagmayr said: “We need to understand what Inter want to do.

“But Lazaro in any case would like to stay and fight for a place with the Nerazzurri.

“He can play in different positions, both on the right and the left wing.”

Hagmayr was also asked if Lazaro would be capable of dealing with the pressure of replacing Hakimi, if that scenario were to arise on Inter’s right wing.

“Tino has understood better now what it means to play for Inter,” he explained.

“Pressure is not a problem: you always need time to adapt to Italian football, let alone in a club like the Nerazzurri.

“There’s also the tactics and the style of play, lots of different aspects to get used to.

“He is certainly much better prepared (for Inter) now than he was two years ago (when Inter signed Lazaro from Hertha BSC).”
