Chelsea are considering a transfer ‘raid’ of Inter’s star players, according to a report in the UK.

Romelu Lukaku is widely reported to be a summer target for the Premier League side, who want a top-class striker after winning the UEFA Champions League.

The Athletic have revealed Lukaku is not the only Inter player they want, though, because Chelsea are also considering a move for Achraf Hakimi.

The 22-year-old is being ‘discussed extensively’ by the Blues’ hierarchy, scouting department and head coach Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea scouted Hakimi heavily during his time at Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, but he ended up joining Inter in a €40 million deal last summer.

Inter missed the first €10 million installment due to Madrid on his transfer, and now the Nerazzurri’s cash-flow problems could lead them to sell.

Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in signing Hakimi and are thought to have tabled an offer worth €55 million, while Arsenal are another club considering a move.

As far as Lukaku is concerned, the report said the Belgian would need some convincing to rejoin Chelsea because he is happy in Serie A, where he feels ‘more appreciated’ than his Premier League days.

Chelsea would have to make the 28-year-old their highest-paid player if they were to bring him back to West London, although he is a more realistic option for them than Harry Kane or Erling Haaland.
