Inter want to sign Italian international wing-back Emerson Palmieri from Chelsea and have already contacted his agents, Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
According to the report published on Di Marzio’s homepage, the Nerazzurri have identified the player, who won the Champions League with Chelsea a few days ago, as the newly crowned Serie A champions top target to strengthen the left flank.
The report continues that Inter’s interest in the former Roma player is strong and is not conditioned on selling Achraf Hakimi first, who is being heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Furthermore, the report states that Emerson Palmieri is also a player that incoming coach Simone Inzaghi is a fan of and therefore, he has become the Nerazzurri’s top target for the left wing-back role.
Emerson Palmieri has long been linked with Inter, already under former coach Antonio Conte but the deal never materialized.
