Inter have already found a potential replacement for Lautaro Martinez, according to a leading Italian broadcaster today.

Sport Mediaset (via FcInter1908.it) said there was talk of Sassuolo striker Giacomo Raspadori becoming El Toro’s successor.

Inter are on great terms with Sassuolo and Raspadori is ‘destined’ to join the Nerazzurri sooner or later, the report claimed.

Lautaro is not certain to leave Inter by any means, but the club don’t want to be caught unprepared if the 23-year-old were to be sold this summer.

Inter need to sell at least one key player to sort their finances before June 30, but that sacrifice is more likely to be Achraf Hakimi as things stand.

Lautaro could be sold as well but there is still no certainty over his future, although Inter seem set to meet his agent for contract talks soon.

The former Racing Club striker could well be replaced by Raspadori, who scored six goals for Sassuolo in the 2020-21 season, if he opts to leave.
