Inter will not offer new contracts to Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio until after the summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.
Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said the Nerazzurri would only address the matter at the end of the transfer window.
Marotta, Ausilio and vice-sporting director Dario Baccin are all out of contract in 2022, so their long-term futures at Inter remain uncertain for now.
Inter will need to discuss the issue before too long, but it seems owners Suning still have other priorities for the time being.
Suning have made it clear they intend to cut costs before next season and so Marotta and Ausilio are hard at work trying to secure player sales.
Achraf Hakimi should be the only star player to be sacrificed, with the Moroccan close to joining Paris Saint-Germain, although Lautaro Martinez’s future remains uncertain too.
Marotta joined Inter as their chief executive for sport in 2018 while Ausilio has worked at the club for more than a decade.
