Inter are planning to make one of two high-profile signings for their left wing-back spot, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Tuttosport’s print edition said the Nerazzurri would snap up either Filip Kostic from Eintracht Frankfurt or Emerson Palmieri from Chelsea.

Inter are working on finding a reinforcement for their left wing although their movements will depend on how big their budget is.

They are expected to bring in a healthy fee from the sale of Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint-Germain, although talks are still ongoing.

Inter want around €80 million to sell Hakimi and so PSG will need to increase their offer to €70 million plus a series of bonuses, the Turin-based paper explained.

Matteo Darmian and potentially Valentino Lazaro will be Inter’s options on the right-hand side, with either Kostic or Emerson coming in on the left.

In terms of other sales, Inter hope to recoup some money from offloading Joao Mario to Sporting CP and Radja Nainggolan to Cagliari, although neither deal is done yet.

Nainggolan’s departure is particularly difficult to sort, because Inter don’t want to give the midfielder a payoff for terminating his contract and Cagliari can’t afford his current wages.
