Achraf Hakimi is moving closer to an Inter exit after he agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said Hakimi had accepted an annual salary worth €8 million after tax from the Ligue 1 runners-up, an increase on the €5 million he earns at Inter.

Inter are waiting for PSG to increase their offer to at least €70 million plus bonuses, at which point Hakimi would be expected to leave.

The 22-year-old will be the Nerazzurri’s first painful sacrifice in the transfer window, but it remains to be seen whether he will be the last.

Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio will hope to raise additional funds by selling the likes of Joao Mario, Radja Nainggolan, Valentino Lazaro and Dalbert, but things could change if other star players make it clear they want to leave.

Lautaro Martinez’s situation remains uncertain for now, the Rome-based paper warned, albeit nobody has come close to meeting Inter’s €80-90 million price tag yet.
