Romelu Lukaku was full of gratitude earlier this week after winning Serie A’s MVP award for the 2020-21 season.

Lukaku was a critical figure in the Nerazzurri’s march towards the Scudetto under Antonio Conte, scoring 24 league goals and providing priceless leadership skills on and off the pitch.

Serie A recognised Lukaku for his athletic supremacy, excellent technique and ‘leader’s mindset’, and Inter couldn’t resist offering the 28-year-old their congratulations.

Lukaku was delighted with the award and tweeted: “God is great!

“Big thank you to my teammates and to Antonio Conte and his staff!

“This one is for the Inter fans thank you for supporting us throughout this season!”
