Matteo Darmian has issued a rallying cry to his Inter teammates ahead of next season’s Serie A title defence.

Inter dominated the 2020-21 season under Antonio Conte and won the Scudetto at a canter, mathematically securing the league with four games to spare.

Darmian become a priceless squad player for Conte during the Nerazzurri’s run-in and he is already looking forward to battling for a 20th Scudetto from August.

The 31-year-old published a video of his season highlights on Instagram and wrote: “A week has passed since the end of a fantastic season.

“It was an adventure full of work, sacrifice, dedication and team spirit.

“In life, like in football, you need to make sure you’re ready.

“Ready to honour the shirt, the fans, your teammates and the club.

“Sometimes you succeed, other times less so, but you must always aim to give your all…

“Because, sometimes, it matters a lot more than it does in others.

“Until next season, Nerazzurri fans, more fired up than ever for more for unforgettable moments!”
