Simone Inzaghi has already made his first decision on Inter’s transfer campaign, according to a leading Italian broadcaster today.

Sky Sport Italia (via FcInter1908.it) said Inter’s new boss had given the green light to move for Emerson Palmieri, who is out of favour at Chelsea.

Emerson is Inter’s main transfer target for the left wing-back position, having fallen down the pecking order in West London under Thomas Tuchel.

The 26-year-old is out of contract with Chelsea next summer and it seems likely he will be sold before the end of the transfer window.

Inter confirmed Inzaghi’s appointment on a two-year deal earlier and he is already at work planning for next season, the report added.

Inzaghi arrived at Appiano Gentile before the official announcement was made and has had lunch with sporting director Piero Ausilio.

The pair were expected to touch upon transfer plans in their first meeting as colleagues at Inter.
