Simone Inzaghi is ready to give Inter the hurry-up on Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said Inzaghi’s first priority after becoming head coach would be to sort the Nerazzurri’s wing-back positions.

Matteo Darmian is currently the one certain to stay, because Ivan Perisic’s contract expires in the summer of 2022 and his future remains unclear.

Marcelo Brozovic is also out of contract with Inter next summer, and the Croatian’s futures are ‘two issues to be sorted in a hurry’.

Despite this, Inzaghi is well aware that Inter will first need to sell players in order to sort their delicate financial position.

Achraf Hakimi is being linked persistently with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but as things stand it seems there is no acceleration in the clubs’ talks.

Inzaghi will be in contact with Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio on a daily basis now, after Inter confirmed his appointment as head coach earlier today.
