Inter have only one chance of signing Filip Kostic from Eintracht Frankfurt, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Tuttosport’s print edition said the Bundesliga side had slapped a €30 million price tag on the full-back and this is a fee Inter cannot pay.

Inter’s only hope of securing Kostic’s services would be to offer one of their own players as part of the deal, and top of the list would be Valentino Lazaro.

Lazaro is returning to the Nerazzurri after a season-long loan at Borussia Monchengladbach and is clearly an experienced head when it comes to Germany’s top flight.

The Austria international is ready to fight for his place at Inter during next season, but Inter are prepared to change their plans if they sensed an opportunity to sign Kostic.

Lazaro is surplus to requirements at Inter whereas the Serbian international would be an excellent signing for new boss Simone Inzaghi at left wing-back.

Kostic is under contract with Eintracht Frankfurt until 2023 and has lots of interest from the Premier League, most notably from West Ham United.

The 28-year-old provided a remarkable 17 assists in the Bundesliga last season as Adi Hutter’s side narrowly missed out on qualification for the UEFA Champions League.
