Inter are not as interested in Alessandro Florenzi as some have made out, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said the Nerazzurri had been offered the chance to sign Florenzi from Roma but didn’t seem keen on a deal.

Florenzi will return to Roma in July after Paris Saint-Germain decided not to make his loan move permanent, but his €4 million annual salary after tax means he won’t stay in the capital.

Juventus could be an option for Florenzi, but if he plays well for Italy at Euro 2020 he might attract interest from La Liga too.

Emerson Palmieri is a more realistic transfer target for Inter, the Rome-based paper continued, although Napoli are also showing an interest in the 26-year-old.

Chelsea want €15-20 million to sell the wing-back while Emerson would command an annual salary of around €4 million.

Elsewhere, Simone Inzaghi will decide Stefano Sensi’s future at Inter after the midfielder attracted interest from Fiorentina and their new boss Gennaro Gattuso.

Alessandro Bastoni should stay with the Nerazzurri after signing a contract extension, and the same applies for Nicolo Barella.
