Inter are set for a big financial boost with a bidding war on the cards for Achraf Hakimi, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition said Chelsea had entered the race for the Moroccan international, who is also attracting strong interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG will now need to raise their offer for Hakimi and this can only be good news for Inter, who were hoping to drive up the price for the 22-year-old.

Hakimi is a central figure to Inter’s transfer plans at present because the Nerazzurri need to raise funds by selling one of their star players.

Elsewhere, Inter are interested in signing one of Chelsea’s players after identifying Emerson Palmieri as a priority target at left wing-back.

Napoli are also keen on a deal for the 26-year-old, but Simone Inzaghi is even more fond of Emerson and Inter will make an attempt to bring him back to Serie A.
