Alexis Sanchez has an increasingly good chance of staying at Inter, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition said Sanchez had made it clear to the Nerazzurri that he wanted to remain at the club, and he is ready to prove it with a gesture.

Sanchez is open to the possibility of reviewing his contract with Inter and spreading his salary across one more season.

The Chilean forward earns €7 million annually and has two years left on his deal, but the new agreement would see that drop to just under €5 million per season (until 2024).

Simone Inzaghi is very keen on keeping Sanchez because he possesses versatility and qualities which make him unique in Inter’s squad.

Sanchez scored seven goals in 30 appearances last season in Serie A and wants to continue his adventure with Inter.

He scored for Chile last night as they secured a 1-1 draw in Argentina during FIFA World Cup qualifying.
