Valentino Lazaro still has a chance of staying at Borussia Monchengladbach, according to a report in Germany.

Inter are expected to welcome Lazaro back for pre-season training in July after the Bundesliga side opted not to make his loan move permanent.

Bild (via FcInterNews.it) have claimed there is still a small chance that Monchengladbach could revive their interest for Lazaro, but only on one condition.

Die Fohlen would consider making a move for the 25-year-old if he were available for no more than €9 million.

Lazaro is busy preparing for Austria’s participation at Euro 2020, although he was unable to play in Wednesday’s warm-up game against England due to local COVID-19 quarantine rules.

He made 28 appearances in all competitions for Borussia Monchengladbach last season, including one in a 3-2 UEFA Champions League defeat at home to his parent club Inter in December.

Antonio Conte seemed to have no interest in giving Lazaro a second chance with the first team, and now it remains to be seen whether Simone Inzaghi is of a different opionion.
