Simone Inzaghi does not want to waste any time as Inter begin preparing their Serie A title defence.

The Nerazzurri welcomed their new head coach to Milan for the first time yesterday as Inzaghi visited the club’s training complex and met Steven Zhang.

According to Corriere dello Sport’s print edition, Inter also sorted the dates of their pre-season training camp and that will begin on 7-8 July.

This is earlier than was originally expected, given that some players could still be involved in the Copa America and European Championships.

Inzaghi will welcome a depleted squad back to Appiano Gentile for the second week of July and then after that, Inter will head to the United States for the Florida Cup (to begin on July 25).

Inter’s new boss also had a chance to discuss transfer plans with Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio on Thursday, although the report offered no further details on what they spoke about.
