Inter are chasing ‘two Emersons’ to reinforce their wing-back spots this summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said Emerson Palmieri remained the Nerazzurri’s first choice to come in at left wing-back, while Emerson Royal was their preference on the right.

Nahitan Nandez and Davide Zappacosta are the other options behind Emerson Royal, as Inter seek a replacement for Achraf Hakimi, but neither are a priority at the moment.

In terms of strikers, Inter are following Sassuolo striker Giacomo Raspadori and curiously met with his agent Tulio Tinti at the club’s training complex yesterday.

Sassuolo do not want to sell Raspadori this summer but Inter and Simone Inzaghi are both big admirers of the 21-year-old, the report confirmed.

Inzaghi met with club president Steven Zhang on Thursday and was reminded that Inter must sell players and cut the wage bill before they can make signings.

Hakimi is the most likely player to be sacrificed, the Rome-based paper added, but Lautaro Martinez’s future remains uncertain too.

Inter need to try and offload players who aren’t considered crucial to their project, while also looking for deals for those out on loan.
