Inter have not ruled out the possibility of loaning Radja Nainggolan to Cagliari again, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said the Nerazzurri were considering a one-year extension for the midfielder so he could join the Sardinian outfit again on a temporary basis.

Cagliari have no desire as things stand to buy Nainggolan permanently, while they are only prepared to offer the Belgian an annual salary worth a maximum of €2 million.

It remains to be seen if Nainggolan would accept this arrangement, but it would give him a better chance of finishing his career with the Rossoblu.

Inter and Cagliari are working to find an agreement for Nainggolan but at the moment a deal does not seem to be particularly close, the Rome-based paper added.

Cagliari could resolve the stalemate by offering Nahitan Nandez as part of the deal, which would enable them to sign Nainggolan in a kind of swap deal.
