Inter are ready to go all-out for Emerson Palmieri, according to a report in the Italian media today.
Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition said the Italian-Brazilian was in pole position to become the Nerazzurri’s new left wing-back, with Ashley Young and Ivan Perisic possibly both leaving.
Inter have made contact with Chelsea and the Premier League side want €20 million to sell Emerson, but that price could well come down.
Emerson is out of contract with the Blues in 2022 and wants to come back to Serie A, two factors which could help Inter in negotiations.
Inter are likely to make an offensive for Emerson once they have secured the money from Achraf Hakimi’s sale to Paris Saint-Germain, the report added.
Hakimi agreed personal terms with PSG a few days ago and the Ligue 1 runners-up are the only club so far to have made Inter an offer.
Chelsea remain interested in Hakimi while Tottenham Hotspur could join the race once Antonio Conte becomes their new head coach.
As far as Perisic is concerned, he could return to the Bundesliga because Inter are not planning to extend his contract which expires next summer.
