An agreement appears to be very close between Inter and Sporting Lisbon for the sale of Joao Mario in the coming weeks, according to a report in the Portuguese media today.

As has been reported by Portuguese news outlet O Jogo, the recent dialogue between the two clubs has been very positive and a deal looks a matter of days away.

There had been some haggling between the two sides as Sporting Lisbon weren’t prepared to meet Inter’s €8 million asking price. The Portuguese were more keen on a €7 million or €8 million deal.

It is now believed that Inter are willing to drop their price slightly so that they do not go against the wishes of Joao Mario, who has played 64 times for Inter in the past.

The transfer is likely to be completed for around €7 million, and it will be the first of many fire players to be sold by Intr during this summer transfer window.
