Paris Saint Germain have slowed their pursuit of Inter right-back Achraf Hakimi after the two clubs struggled to agree on a price, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been recorded by Corriere dello Sport, the Ligue 1 club’s last offer was €70 million plus assorted bonuses depending on the player’s performance, but Inter are looking for at least €80 million plus bonuses.

Paris Saint Germain and the player have already agreed on a contract that will see Achraf Hakimi earn €8 million per season. If the Ligue 1 team do not come in with another bid, it opens the door for Chelsea to try and sign the player.

Elsewhere, Joao Mario’s transfer to Sporting Lisbon is getting closer and closer, which is key for Inter’s finances.

Finally, both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are closely monitoring Lautaro Martinez as they weigh up a move for the Argentine. Atletico Madrid are the side closest to making an official bid, but it would take around €80-90 million for Inter to sell.
