Inter may have to abandon their attempted purchase of Emerson Palmieri this summer over a disagreement over the price, according to a report in the Italian print media today.
It is being reported by Corriere dello Sport that Inter’s pursuit of Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri could be coming to an end because the two clubs are still €10 million apart on their valuation of the player.
Inter have decided that they do not wish to spend more than €10 million on the Italian, who is part of Roberto Mancini’s Azzurri squad for the upcoming UEFA Champions League.
The Champions League winners Chelsea meanwhile would like to receive at least €20 million for their player, as clubs look to claw back any money that they can after the pandemic-effected season.
Emerson Palmieri would represent an obvious improvement on the left-hand side of the pitch for the Nerazzurri, which is why Inter were linked in the first place.
