Inter could look to fix their left-back problem by signing Nicolas Tagliafico from Ajax this summer, according to a report in the Argentine media today.

As has been reported by TyC Sports, the 28-year-old has become a very realistic option for the Nerazzurri as it becomes increasingly likely that Ivan Perisic and Ashley Young will be leaving the club this summer.

Nicolas Tagliafico was part of the Ajax team that reached the Champions League semi-finals very recently and were seconds away from reaching the final before conceding in the last seconds.

Inter’s vice president, Javier Zanetti, has already made contact with the Dutch team to see if a deal for the Argentine can be struck quickly.

Nicolas Tagliafico is the profile of player that Simone Inzaghi would like to have on the left-hand side of the pitch. He could be an easier target to sign than Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri as the two clubs are currently €10 million apart in their valuations.
