The agent of Inter player Joao Mario is set to arrive in Milan tomorrow to finalise his client’s move to Sporting Lisbon, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by Il Giornale, the move is looking incredibly close to being finalised now. The two clubs have been in discussions for some weeks over the future of Joao Mario, and now it is set to be decided.
Inter did not wish to go against the wishes of Joao Mario who has been at the club for a few years now, so they were prepared to lower their €8 million asking price slightly.
Sporting Lisbon did not intend to pay more than €6 million or €7 million and it looks like the latter figure is what Inter will receive for the midfielder.
He spent the previous season on loan at Sporting Lisbon and it has been made clear to him that he will not be part of Simone Inzaghi’s new project.
