Two players that will not be leaving Inter this summer are Matteo Darmian and Roberto Gagliardini, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, Matteo Darmian and Roberto Gagliardini are heavily respected by new boss Simone Inzaghi, and he has no intention of moving them on even though they are no key players.

Should Achraf Hakimi’s move to either Paris Saint Germain or Chelsea go through this summer, Matteo Darmian may find himself as the first choice right-back if nobody else of higher quality is purchased.

The ex-Parma and Manchester United player had appeared to be a fringe player at Inter, but he then scored two vital goals against Cagliari and Hellas Verona late in the season that were vital in clinching the Serie A title.

As for Roberto Gagliardini, he is likely to remain behind the likes of Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, and Christian Eriksen in the pecking order, but still brings great value to the squad.
