Arturo Vidal could leave Inter for Mexico if he wanted, according to a report in the Italian media.

FcInterNews.it have revealed Club America are showing a strong interest in signing the midfielder, following recent comments from Vidal that he’d like to play for them one day.

The Mexican side would have no problem with offering Vidal a big salary, given that they are owned by media company Televisa.

Vidal doesn’t seem particularly tempted by the idea of joining Club America for now, though.

The 34-year-old believes he is still capable of making the difference for a top club in Europe, although it’s not clear whether he thinks that would be with Inter or someone else.

Vidal joined Inter from Barcelona last summer but failed to deliver on the hype which surrounded his arrival from La Liga.

The Chile international, who caught COVID-19 last week, did not even play for the last two months of the season after undergoing knee surgery.

Inter are widely reported to want to offload Vidal because he earns too much money for a squad player.
