Inter are ready to offer new contracts to Andrea Ranocchia and Ashley Young, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Gazzetta.it said the Nerazzurri would offer ‘one plus one’ deals (a one-year deal with an option for a second), with their previous salaries spread across multiple seasons.

Ranocchia has proven himself as a reliable player when needed and a key presence inside Inter’s Serie A title-winning dressing room.

Young will turn 36 in July, but Inter can’t afford to leave themselves short of options in the wing-back positions.

Inter are also planning to offer new and improved deals to three of their key players from last season’s Scudetto triumph, the report added.

The club will soon need to discuss contracts for Marcelo Brozovic, Nicolo Barella and Lautaro Martinez, all of whom are receiving interest from clubs abroad in the summer transfer window.

Simone Inzaghi was officially confirmed as Inter’s new head coach last Thursday and now his new side is taking shape.
