Inter have four targets in mind for their left wing-back spot, according to a report in the Italian media.
Tuttosport’s print edition said Emerson Palmieri remained the Nerazzurri’s priority target, although there could be an issue with Chelsea’s asking price.
Chelsea want €20 million to sell the 26-year-old, whose contract expires next summer, but Inter won’t go beyond €15 million including bonuses.
Emerson’s €3 million annual salary wouldn’t be a problem though, which gives Inter an advantage over Napoli who are also chasing his signature.
If Inter do not secure a deal to sign Emerson, their alternatives are Filip Kostic at Eintracht Frankfurt, Nicolas Tagliafico at Ajax and Alfonso Pedraza at Villarreal.
Federico Dimarco is due to return from a season-long loan at Hellas Verona and occupy the other left wing-back spot in the squad, but Torino are interested and Inter would be open to selling him for €10-12 million.
Ashley Young and Ivan Perisic were Inter’s options on the left wing last season and both players face uncertain futures.
