Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has said that Inter’s Romelu Lukaku will be a player to watch at this summer’s UEFA European Championship, according to a report in the English media today.

Whilst writing in his column for The Times, the ex-Everton and England striker highlighted which players and teams he thinks will make a big impression during the tournament this summer.

One of the players he decided to pick out was current Inter striker and ex-Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku, who will be the main man for Belgium during the tournament along with Kevin de Bruyne.

Sticking with ex-Manchester United players, Wayne Rooney also chose his old teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovich. He believes Sweden are a team worth keeping an eye on because of Zlatan Ibrahimovic coming out of retirement for the tournament.

Wayne Rooney also suggested that Christian Eriksen’s Denmark could be a dark horse at the tournament if teams do not take them seriously.
