Regardless of other outcomes in the upcoming transfer window, Alexis Sanchez will be a part of new Inter manager Simone Inzaghi’s attacking plan.

Today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport claim that the new Inter boss is happy with Sanchez, and considers him to be a player who can contribute to the club going forward.

Many aspects of Inter’s squad construction remain up in the air due to the club’s need to generate revenue through the sale of a player with a high valuation, with the possibility of Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez’s departure considered a possibility.

In the case that Martinez does leave Inter, it is claimed that Sanchez would have a role as his immediate replacement under Inzaghi, with a younger striker such as Giacomo Raspadori brought in as a long-term option.

However, even if Martinez were to stay, the Chilean attacker would still likely feature in Inter’s attacking rotation during the upcoming season, similarly to how he did in the previous season under Antonio Conte.
