Inter player Ashley Young may have a future at the club, as he is admired by new coach Simone Inzaghi and has been offered an extension on his contract.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports today that Inter wingback Ashley Young has been offered an extension as Inzaghi would like to have him in the squad for at least one more season.

The 35-year-old Englishman would have to accept a reduction in salary however, and may be tempted by an offer from his former club, newly-promoted Premier League side Watford.

With defender Danilo D’ambrosio having exercised a contract extension until June 30, 2022, Young’s renewal with Inter would further solidify a squad for the new manager to work with in the upcoming season.

The Englishman has made fifty-nine appearances and scored five goals under previous head coach Antonio Conte after signing from Manchester United in January of 2020, and has become something of a fan favourite at the Giuseppe Meazza.
