Lautaro Martinez remain the two most likely Inter players to bid farewell to the club in the summer, with Inter strategizing that if a satisfactory offer for Hakimi does not arrive, the club plans to look for a buyer for Martinez.

Analyst Matteo Barzaghi has weighed in on the situation of Inter’s key players for Italian broadcaster Sky Sport, noting that incoming manager Simone Inzaghi will wish to build on the successful work of Antonio Conte and begin a strong new cycle with a quality squad and good morale and enthusiasm.

Barzaghi notes that there is “latent interest from Atletico Madrid which could materialize” when it comes to Martinez, highlighting that the Argentine’s situation is still very much up in the air until more concrete decisions are made.

Martinez is valued by Inter at €90 million, although Atletico will also consider FIorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic as an alternative target for a forward.

Barzaghi also highlights the fact the large discrepancy between Paris Saint-Germain’s initial €60 million offer for Achraf Hakimi and Inter’s €80 million valuation of the player, which could lead to Inter keeping the player for next season.
