Cagliari have inquired about Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti in talks between the two clubs regarding Uruguayan midfielder Nahitan Nandez.

This according to Italian media outlet FCInterNews who report that the 22-year-old Inter player is of interest to the Rossoblu and could be part of a deal to bring Nandez to the San Siro.

Cagliari have spoken to Pinamonti’s agent regarding the player’s situation, the report adds.

Negotiations between the two clubs have been complex, as Cagliari are also thought to want to sign Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan.

The former Roma midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan with the Sardinian club where his performances helped Leonardo Semplici’s side avoid relegation.

As of yet however, the two clubs have not come close to an agreement on Nainggolan, the report continues.

Pinamonti could add more complications to the situation, but it is being reported that Cagliari’s interest in the player may actually expedite a deal for Nandez if Inter will deal for him.

Cagliari are said to be demanding €25 for Nandez but would lower their asking price from that valuation were Pinamonti to be part of the deal.

Cagliari are also said to be interested in Nerazzurri players Martin Satriano and Lorenzo Pirola, the latter currently looking to extend his loan at Serie B club Monza.
