Inter are considering the future of exciting young forward Samuele Mulattieri, and talks appear to be leading to a contract extension of two years.

Italian news site FCInterNews report that Inter have been impressed by the youngster’s 19-goal return in 32 games played on loan with Volendam in the Dutch Erste Divisie during the 2020-21 season, and look set to reward him with an extension on his current deal, which is set to expire in June 2022.

In considering the player’s future, Inter would like to send him out on loan again – but not to Volendam, as they would prefer to see the player develop at a more ambitious club in Italy or elsewhere in Europe.

Yesterday afternoon, a meeting took place between Inter and Mulattieri’s entourage in which all parties appear to be in agreement about the young player’s future.

The young striker, formerly of Spezia, looks forward to a more challenging loan move for next season, and the possibility of playing in the Nerazzurri shirt in the future.
