Emerson Palmieri is a player who Inter would like to bring to the San Siro for next season, and there are many reasons why this deal could take place.

Today’s print edition of Rome-based Newspaper Corriere dello Sport claim that the Chelsea man is seeking a new club and that Inter are among the most viable destinations.

Inter are seeking a left-sided wing-back given that their two current main options in the position are 31-year-old Matteo Darmian and 35-year-old Ashley Young, and Palmieri is thought to be a primary target for the role.

Despite having recently won the Champions League with Chelsea, the Italian has been a marginalized figure at the English club under current boss Thomas Tuchel and his predecessor Frank Lampard.

With the 27-year-old seeking regular football, Inter are a destination that he favours.

Palmieri is thought to have a technical and age profile which would make him an ideal fit for incoming Inter manager Simone Inzaghi’s plans for next season.
