Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella is one of the key player’s in Roberto Mancini’s Italy squad for the Euros, and his qualities will be essential to the manager’s tactical system.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia who earlier today reported that the 24-year-old is one of the most significant players for Italy because the team is built around his talents.

The broadcaster argues that the midfield is a strong point for Mancini’s team, and that Barella reprising his two-way midfield role brings balance to the 4-3-3 system which can transform into more of a 3-5-2.

Barella is expected to start alongside Chelsea’s Jorginho and Sassuolo’s Manuel Locatelli (the latter in place of Marco Verratti) for Italy’s opener against Turkey.

Sky further note that with five goals scored already since Mancini took charge of the Azzurri demonstrates that the Inter man is one of the significant attacking threats that Italy have to offer.

Inter fans will recognize the versatility and attacking thrust that the midfielder offers, and Italy supporters will hope that his impressive form from the past club season will be on show this summer.
