In an interview with the Italian national team, Alessandro Florenzi has brushed off transfer speculation linking him to Inter by jokingly suggesting that it is not his first priority at the moment.

The Italian international fullback stated that for the time being he is entirely committed to the task at hand with the national team, and that this is his only priority.

With respect to transfer rumours linking him to Inter, Florenzi the links “do not affect me, I do not read anything,” and that he prefers to focus on his football over transfer gossip.

When pressed on the matter, Florenzi joked: “Future after Euro 2020? I’m going on vacation, do you want to know where I’m going?”

Italy’s tournament gets started on Friday, June 11 with a matchup against Turkey, and there is a sense of optimism around Roberto Mancini’s young squad which also includes several Inter players.

Florenzi’s links to Inter come in the midst of rumours swirling that Inter will sell the right-sided Achraf Hakimi to Florenzi’s former club Paris Saint-Germain.
