Inter Midfielder Joao Mario should soon be a Sporting CP player on a permanent basis, and only the final determination of his transfer fee is left in finalizing the deal.
Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Portuguese’s transfer is something fully desired by all parties, and that once the two clubs involved settle on a fee the deal will be done.
Inter’s initial asking price was €10 million, although the club have reduced their demands to €8 million; Sporting are currently offering €7 million.
Given that this represents a necessary opportunity to get a transfer fee for a player whose deal runs until 2022, Inter will certainly complete the deal in the end and not allow it to collapse over €1 million.
Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that given the stated target of a €70 million net profit in this summer at Inter, the Nerazzurri will see the fee for a player not in their tactical plans as highly positive, in addition to getting the 28-year-old’s €3 million salary off of their books for good.
