Caglriari’s Nahitan Nandez looks to be on his way to Inter, and several Inter players could be headed in the opposite direction.

Today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport claim that the Uruguayan midfielder’s arrival at the Giuseppe Meazza is close at hand, and that an agreement between Steven Zhang and Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini will soon be reached.

Aside from a transfer fee, Inter are expected to include midfielders Radja Nainggolan and Matias Vecino as part of the deal, in addition to three youth team players.

The 25-year-old former Boca Juniors player and Uruguay international is a player Inter have been credited with interest in in the past, but this appears to be the most concrete link between the player and the Nerazzurri.

Nandez has impressed during the past two seasons with Cagliari, making 28 appearances in Serie A last season, with his conversion to a wide midfield role with the arrival of new coach Leonardo Semplici in midseason showing his admirable versatility.
