Inter intend to keep midfielder Stefano Sensi at the club for another season, as he is still valuable to their project, Italian media reports.

In today’s print edition of Lombardy-based newspaper Libero it is reported that Stefano Sensi will stay with the Nerazzurri over next season.

The 25-year-old joined Inter from Sassuolo during the summer of 2019, and he made an instant impact under manager Antonio Conte before he became sidelined with injury, and he has struggled for minutes ever since.

Nevertheless, it is clear that Italy manager Roberto Mancini regards the midfielder’s talents very highly, having selected him for the Azurri’s squad ahead of the Euros in the summer.

Sensi’s selection suggests that he still has an opportunity to prove his worth if he stays put at Inter, and he may welcome an opportunity to fight for his place under new head coach Simone Inzaghi when the European championships are over and he is back at Inter.
