Inter may consider the sale of key midfielder Marcelo Brozovic if they are able to replace him with Argentine midfielder Leandro Paredes, currently at Paris Saint-Germain, as part of a deal for Achraf Hakimi.

This is according to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport in today’s print edition, who posit that because the Croatian cost the Nerazzurri just €800,000 from Dynamo Zagreb, practically any fee received would represent a significant capital gains.

This could be enticing to Inter despite the fact that the 28-year-old has been a key man under Antonio Conte.

All current indications are that the Nerazzurri intend to keep Brozovic and make him an important player under Simone Inzaghi, but it is thought that Paredes would also be a viable option for the new head coach to build his midfield around.

Inter have been linked with Paredes in the past as a potential replacement for the Croatian at the based of midfield in the 3-5-2 system favoured by the club’s current and previous manager, and acquiring him as part of a deal for Achraf Hakimi looks like a possibility.
