Inter center-back Milan Skriniar is looking forward to the European Championships, and believes that he can carry his good form from the club season into his performances representing Slovakia at the tournament.

In an interview with sport7.sk just prior to leaving for Slovakia’s team camp in St. Petersburg, the Inter player stated that “We [Slovakia] are well prepared. We have developed some good chemistry together.”

The 26-year-old has made forty appearances for the Slovakia national team so far in his career, and has developed into one of the team’s most important players and an important leader on the pitch.

The Inter star stated that Slovakia are well-prepared for their opening match against Poland on Monday, June 14, and stressed that “getting a good result will be important” from that match.

Slovakia qualified for the tournament ahead of Azerbaijan, and also qualified for the 2016 edition of the tournament.

After Poland Slovakia will face Sweden and Spain, and it is expected that Skriniar will play a big role if the team are to qualify for the knockour tound.
